Ceph update

Revisited an old friend to correct some flaws.

Alright then. Lets discuss why the reflections make the objects seem as if they are floating.

Well, there is a simple explanation for this: The objects are floating. Go figure.

Because I can.

The render is taking longer than expected for just a preview... But I want to get this square done so I can see.. you know.. things.. stuff..and even some ect.

Recently posted on XSI Base was a clever individual who found a inexpecive way to get very good looking glass out of his Blinn node. GJ to one user : Ewald

I fiddeled with his method for awhile, and while my results were not perfect, they did come out quite decent.

Wine_Cellar_Lighting

The guys at blogger are pretty cool.. They give me 1024 megs of free space to do whatever I wish with, as long as it doesn't hurt children or walruses. Good show.

I'm not dead; honest I'm not.

The lack of updates is due to the type of things I am doing right now.

I mean, I could post pictures of ... a room with the default scene light in it... and things half un-wrapped... ect ect,, But nobody is intrested in that stuff..

Well.. I suppose I can't talk on behalf of everyone.. There may be somone who simply loves dim lit rooms and dull colors... .. .. That came out wrong; But I figure I got my point across.

Bar Stool Concepts

Before we get into the three sentence rant, let me state, I am referring to CHAIRS. That is all.

I need a stool... Not just any stool... It has to fit by a bar... .. So what I need would in fact be a Bar Stool..

Now, this stool has to fit in a wine cellar, by a dark hard wood dining table... They have to fit together in the same room and look /natural/ ,,, we'll probably go with the miniature barrel stool..

Cellar Progress

Well, my Zbrush has gone screwy on me, slowing some progress... Which makes me frown.
Sooo if anyone has suggestions on this problem, have at er :

I have nothing to say to you, large open text window.

ChibSisco's glasses are not transparent :(

Well.. First encounter with a this problem.. My transparency map is being ignored.. (for this guys glasses)

He doesn't have odd UV clusters... the image is a 32 bit targa with transparent backing.. Tried black and white image also.. Hurr we'll stomp this problem yet!

(Speaking in the third person... About myself... can't be good..)

Objectives :

a) Graduate, ofcourse. I suppose this should be the last point,, but we will make an exception this time simply because I typed it first.
b) Set design (XSI) Lets make somthing nautical. Yes, I have used that word as a adjective, sue me.
c) Make some kick ass extreemly low poly cartoon models for GPW.. on saturdays... Frown.
d) Render, render, RENDER!
e) Render
f) Tuck tone and tighten. Oh wait... Tweak trim and amazify.. Yeah, amazify.
